Army of the Dead: A Zombicide Game is a mission-based zombie board game, part of the larger Zombicide franchise, which confirmed it was making an Army of the Dead version of the game to tie in with the Armyverse. They detailed several movie-based features, such as hibernating zombies, characters with skills based on the film, and zombie tigers, and confirmed there would also be game-specific scenarios.[1] The game is a standalone adventure that doesn't require extra Zombicide pieces.
CMON initially estimated that the game would release in early 2023[2], but retailers push back the release date every few months until settling on July 19, 2024.
Synopsis[]
It's been six years since the zombie outbreak. While certain areas are no-go zones for anyone with a pulse, much of the world still turns as it did before. Las Vegas is one such no-go zone: chock-full of the undead and surrounded by shipping containers to keep everyone else out… and the dead in. However, a group of mercenaries is headed there for one thing that the damned don't give a damn about, but the living sure do: a boat-load of money. A casino vault full of cold, hard cash is ripe for the picking if this group of badasses can work together long enough to get it.
