Detection was the skill of finding hidden information, commonly used in policework. It could also conversely be used to scout targets for criminal activity, seeking holes in security to be exploited and avoiding police detection.

Vincent Delacroix was an Interpol agent leading his own unit after Red Notice holders Gwendoline Starr and Brad Cage. He effectively deduced their plans and hunted them for two of their world-class heists. He likely would have captured them on the first attempt if not for a clerical error, and did succeed on the second attempt.[1]
Gwendoline Starr, for the sake of her heist plans, cased multiple targets with the help of her team to determine the best strategies for each target. She was also able to find and recruit Ludwig Dieter to her crew, despite his complete lack of criminal interest.[1]
Korina Dominguez dug deep into NPIB Prague's digital security for the sake of finding out how best to exploit it for Gwen's plans, using her hacking skills to preemptively find solutions to potential problems.[1]
The Bishop was able to hunt down Ludwig Dieter after his incredible success with thievery, despite the fact that he was never added to any public record, and as such she had to discover his involvement on her own.[2]
Beatrix worked as Delacroix's partner, supporting his investigation and occasionally pulling him out of his tight focus to view a bit of the bigger picture.[1]
