Hand-to-hand combat was the skill of defeating opponents with one's own body rather than with weapons. Animals, like Valentine, would typically not be considered skilled in hand-to-hand combat due to the nature of their combat being comprised of standard hunting maneuvers among their species.

Skill users

Gwendoline Starr was especially skilled with hand-to-hand combat. On two separate occasions, she was able to single-handedly take down two armed security personnel as once. All four of these men were significantly bigger and stronger than she was, and likely had some level of training for their security-based jobs, yet Gwen was able to outmaneuver them, two at a time.

Brad Cage fought multiple NPIB Prague security guards at once, and was easily able to disable their movements.

Chambers fought incredibly well against a horde of shamblers, surviving much longer than one would expect even seasoned zombie veterans to do despite the fact that it was her first time encountering zombies. With decisive use of her rapid movements, she was able to take down and hold off dozens of attacking zombies as she fled from room to room, eventually jumping through a window and being grabbed by too many to handle. While she did use weapons, her skill with hand-to-hand fighting was nontheless apparent.

Vanderohe was proficient in hand-to-hand combat. He had military training, then went on to challenge Zeus in unarmed combat during the Götterdämmerung heist. He ultimately lost due to Zeus' enhanced strength, but did manage to hold his own against the brute.

Scott Ward never employed the most intricate combat techniques, but he knew how to effectively use his superior body strength to deal with zombies, and made for a more than capable fighter.

Forrest Griffin was a proficient boxer training to be an elite fighter.
