Humans were the dominant species of Earth and by far the most common species of zombies.
Biology[]
Humans are bipedal mammals belonging to the family of Hominidae, also known as the great apes. They have intelligence far beyond that of the other animals, allowing for much greater intraspecies communication and technological development, ultimately enabling them to dominate the planet. In the present day their numbers are well into the billions, and their sprawling societies allow them to prosper amongst large communities of like-minded individuals working toward the same broad goals.
History[]
Long ago humans used their superior intelligence to become the dominant species of Earth through their enhanced coordination and technological achievements. It's exactly this intelligence and these advancements that led a select few humans to stumble upon the creation of the zombie plague that washed over Las Vegas, converting most of its residents to mindless zombies. They went to war with the zombies, but ultimately failed to clear them out until using a low-yield tactical nuke to erase the entire city. Without the persistent threat of the zombie apocalypse, humanity moved on from the event, relatively unscathed.[1]
