"Well, I honestly don't. . . I mean, you're being cryptic."
Kelly, Army of the Dead
Senior Airman Kelly was a member of the Four Horsemen, which was a military convoy tasked with escorting Zeus from Area 51. He was portrayed by Michael Cassidy in Army of the Dead.
Biography[]
Las Vegas outbreak[]
Tasked with carrying an unidentified payload out of Area 51, SrA Kelly contemplated the contents of the box with his driver, A1C Bissell, on the road to Las Vegas. A civilian car heading the opposite direction veered into their lane, narrowly missing their Humvee. Their vehicle was the first of four in the Four Horsemen convoy, and the second, the one carrying the payload, was the one struck by the car. The package was flung from the truck bed, opening in the highway. Kelly radioed Mothership for medivac, and was commanded to vacate the area of the payload. Zeus emerged from the box and quickly dispatched the soldiers in the road, leaving Kelly and Bissell to flee into the desert. They didn't get far before they were both hunted and killed, arising as Alphas to help Zeus create a horde of zombies.[2]
Life after death[]
Kelly was one of the first to join Zeus' horde, following him to Las Vegas. It's unknown what became of him.[2]
Abilities[]
- Zombie physiology: As an alpha zombie, Kelly's body grew resistant to physical trauma. His mind degraded to an animalistic level, but his muscles and coordination were enhanced.
- Exceptional physiology: As an alpha, Kelly's body was enhanced to that of an athlete's.
- Infection manipulation: As a zombie, Kelly's bite could convert others to zombies.
Equipment[]
- Heckler & Koch HK416: Kelly's primary weapon was an HK416, which he only discharged accidentally while tripping.
Trivia[]
- Kelly is listed as a sergeant in the film's credits. This is an error as he is wearing a U.S. Air Force uniform and has the rank insignia of a senior airman. Sergeant is a rank in the U.S. Army and is one pay grade higher than that of a senior airman.
References[]
- ↑ U.S. Route 95 is one of two roads that lead from Area 51 to Las Vegas. We know the road of the collision must be one of these two roads, because the Four Horsemen left from Area 51, while the Hillmans left from Vegas, and the two groups met somewhere in the middle. The other road, U.S. Route 93, is on the northeast side of the city. Since Zeus can be seen standing over the Las Vegas skyline from the West, he would have had to travel all the way around Vegas to end up in that position if released on Route 93, while his path is indicated to be much simpler. The only remaining road is Route 95 or a fictional road.
