Las Vengeance patch, Army of the Dead
Las Vengeance Search & Rescue was the mercenary group led by Scott Ward that was comprised of survivors of the zombie outbreak in Las Vegas. The group's formation will be shown in Lost Vegas, while also appearing in Army of the Dead, Viva Las Vengeance, and briefly in Army of Thieves.

When the mysterious infection began to spread through Las Vegas, people from all walks of life needed to band together to protect what they love. The group of survivors would come to be known as Las Vengeance. Las Vengeance was known for being so good at what they did that even the military deferred to the group for zombie-related missions.[1]

As time went on, the group saved more and more people. Members came and went. A woman looking for her daughter joined the group, encoldening to the new reality of her life and even killing living humans that had been infected. Just as the wall was nearing completion, which would lock out the Las Vengeance crew forever, she finally found her daughter, but the two never managed to escape.[1]
Götterdämmerung heist[]
Las Vengeance arrives at Tropicana Avenue
The group reunited when Scott Ward was offered $50 million to break into the Götterdämmerung and steal the contents back for Bly Tanaka. Scott went to Maria Cruz and Vanderohe to act as equal partners in the venture, also returning to Marianne Peters, who they had worked with during the zombie wars. Ward and Cruz also recruited a few new members, including Mikey Guzman, safecracker Ludwig Dieter, Kate Ward, and Lilly "the Coyote". Burt Cummings and Chambers were also brought in by Lilly and Guzman, respectively. With the team in place, they headed into the quarantined city to perform what promised to be the greatest heist the world had ever seen.
Bly's Casino is back up and running
In the city they encountered some unusual zombies, from Valentine, the zombie tiger, to Athena, the semi-intelligent alpha queen. Despite being a returning member of the crew, this was Cruz's first experience with an alpha. They made their way through the city to Bly's Casino, where they split up to get their work done. Scott and Kate went to the third floor roof to activate the generators, Martin and Lilly did a perimeter sweep, Peters and Cruz went to the roof to get started with the escape helicopter, and Dieter, Vanderohe, and Guzman headed down to the Götterdämmerung.
The team learns that the nuke launch was moved up
Peters stayed up top to continue preparing the helicopter, while the others accomplished their various tasks and regrouped down in the Götterdämmerung chamber as Dieter worked at cracking it. He eventually succeeded, and the group celebrated, but Kate sneaked out to attempt to find her friend, Geeta, who had been left behind during her own venture into Vegas. No sooner did Scott notice she was missing than the Bly was swarmed with alpha zombies, who quickly killed Cruz. Martin locked the rest down in the basement, using a service hatch to escape. Lilly used Vanderohe's saw to cut a hole for their own escape, then Scott and Guzman followed her back up to the main lobby. Vanderohe and Dieter stayed behind with the money, but they lingered too long. Dieter was killed and Van was locked in the safe. Guz was also lost en route to the roof, leaving only Scott and Lilly. Zeus, the king of the zombies, was hot on their tail, so Lilly held him off while Scott and Peters took off.
The remaining members escape the nuke
Peters flew the helicopter to The Olympus at Scott's request, where Kate was looking for Geeta. Zeus followed them back on Wildfire, quickly catching up, and Scott and Zeus came face to face at Kate's location. Scott held Zeus off with a grenade so he could take Kate and Geeta back up to the roof. They boarded the helicopter and took off, but Zeus leaped into it and attacked Scott. The two struggled, resulting in Zeus biting Scott and Scott shooting Zeus through the brain. The helicopter crashed beyond the quarantine wall, where Scott and Kate appeared to be the only survivors, though Scott quickly succumbed to his zombie bite.
Vanderohe later emerged from the rubble carrying as much money as he could hold. He wandered from the broken city, found a car, and drove to a small airport in Utah. As his plane approached its destination, Mexico City, Van realized that he'd been bitten by a zombie.[1]
