The McCarran Forward Operating Base was the military base established during the zombie wars in the McCarran Quarantine Zone, designed to deploy troops into the zombie-run city. It showed up briefly in the opening credits of Army of the Dead before becoming the start and end point of Army of the Dead: Viva Las Vengeance.

When the Las Vegas outbreak occurred, the United States military set up a base of operations for the sake of what would later come to be known as the zombie wars. The base was located on what had previously been the McCarran International Airport, just South of the quarantine wall. The military and the Las Vengeance search and rescue team both operated out of this base during the zombie wars, until the city was eventually walled off, leaving the zombies to haunt what remained of Las Vegas.[1]
