Mexico City was the capital city of Mexico. It was a densely populated city which would have been very vulnerable to a zombie outbreak. It was the location where Vanderohe was headed at the end of Army of the Dead, making it an important location in Planet of the Dead.
History[]
After narrowly surviving the nuclear strike on Las Vegas, Vanderohe chartered a private plane to Mexico City from Utah. As the plane neared its destination, Vanderohe realized he had been bitten by a zombie in Las Vegas, and was likely carrying the infection.[1]
Trivia[]
- Director Zack Snyder chose Mexico City as Vanderohe's destination due to the city's inability to be quarantined like Las Vegas had been, potentially setting up a much broader zombie apocalypse in a possible sequel.
