Pavel was a security guard for NPIB Prague. He was the last guard standing after Brad Cage's attack on the bank. Pavel was portrayed by Zdenek Pechácek in Army of Thieves.

Biography

Working as a security guard for NPIB Prague, Pavel watched live feeds of cameras all over the bank. He occasionally got called out by a fellow guard for drinking on the job. When a suspicious man appeared on camera pretending to unlock a door before it opened on its own, Pavel realized someone was in their digital system and issued a silent alarm, which locked down the elevators to allow security to look into the man. Moments later, several security guards were knocked out with tranquilizer darts by a masked robber on the main floor of the bank, and Pavel watched the events unfold. When the last guard fell to the ground, Pavel cursed, sounded the alarm, and headed out to try to stop the robbery. He engaged the man, but was knocked back against a wall. He raised his gun and managed to shoot the robber in the shoulder before the robber jumped through a window. Pavel poked out from the window to take a look, but the robber shot at him from the street, so he retreated back inside.

Trivia

• The character is listed as Old Security Guard in the film credits, however his fellow guard calls him by name in the film.
• When Brad Cage knocks Pavel to the wall, Pavel's hat falls to the ground. In the next shot his hat is back on his head.
