Biography[]

Soccer Mom gets a tattoo during the zombie wars.

When the Las Vegas outbreak devastated the city, this woman lost her daughter in the fray. Unable to find her daughter on her own, she joined Las Vengeance and spent days, or likely even weeks or months in search of survivors of the brutal zombie attacks, hoping to find her daughter somewhere among them. As she hardened to the cold reality of her new world her previously well-kempt appearance changed to fit in with the other zombie hunters. She braided her hair, wore less "presentable" clothing, got a tattoo, and even began collecting zombie ears.

Soccer Mom looks through clothing at the McCarran Forward Operating Base, finding a sweatshirt like one her daughter once wore.

She eventually found her daughter huddled away in Jack's Step-Inn Lounge with the help of Dagliesh and his dog, and they were able to get her to safety as the final shipping containers were being locked into place, blocking the zombies' escape into the broader world. As her daughter made it across the final opening, the mother was caught up in the outstretched reach of the undead, and her daughter ran back to her. Both were crushed with a swarm of shamblers as the shipping containers were dropped into place.[1]

Abilities[]

  • Zombie experience: As part of the Las Vengeance search and rescue effort, she was a member of the go-to team involved with dealing with zombies, dealing with hordes of shamblers on multiple occasions.
  • Marksmanship: During her time looking for her daughter in the zombie wars, this woman became quite profecient at dispatching large groups of zombies.

Behind the scenes[]

Soccer Mom had the word "headshot" tattooed across her fingers such that the word could be read when she lined up her fists. Credited simply as "Soccer Mom" in Army of the Dead, the character was never named in the film. However, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas concept art depicting Ava Wagenman as Soccer Mom's daughter was labeled "Lucia's daughter," suggesting that this character's name would eventually be revealed to be Lucia. Given the similarity between the names "Lucia" and "Lucilia," the latter of whom was voiced by Anya Chalotra in Lost Vegas, it's possible these two characters are one and the same.

Danielle Burgio was on set about five weeks for her scenes.[2]
